"

The audiences really enjoyed the hybrid program and thought it was very innovative. Funny how several people were wondering if the orchestra was singing since they obviously didn't see a choir but heard voices. I think the orchestra was a little unsure at first at the start of the rehearsals, but by the performance, many of them shared with me how unique it was and they thought it was a really cool program.

I'm so excited to do this program! Our students and the audience are going to love it. Your music is always a favorite.

A Simple Setup

One free app, a PA, and a way to route audio into the house. The conductor runs everything from the podium — no engineer, no click box, no fragile cabling.

1
CueConductor
The free CueConductor app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Load the cue package for each title and you're ready to perform.
2
PA / Speakers
A PA system powerful enough to balance with your orchestra. If it's moveable, place it on stage among or behind the players so everyone can hear the tracks.
3
Audio / Video Connection
A simple adapter/splitter from the device into house sound — full stereo PA mix, or split stereo (L = click to the conductor's earbud, R = PA). Add HDMI to broadcast the scoring video to a rehearsal monitor or the audience. These short walkthroughs show each setup:

Connecting Audio (USB)

A/V for Rehearsal (HDMI)

Movie in Concert (HDMI)

You stay in control. Per-stem faders and mutes let the conductor set and adjust the balance of the pre-recorded elements live from the podium.
Stay perfectly in sync. Follow a synchronized scoring video with measure counter, beat-grouped dots, color-coded streamers, and punches. Jump instantly to any measure or rehearsal letter with a single tap — no click required.
Optional click & monitoring. The conductor can use an in-ear monitor (earbud) for the click if desired, and the click can be routed to anyone in the ensemble (e.g. the percussion section).
Optional audience video. Broadcast the synchronized scoring video to an external display for the audience.
Dress rehearsal in the hall to set the final balance — that's all it takes to be performance-ready.

1
Perusal & Planning
Review the perusal score + tech pack. Confirm playback routing and stage placement.
2
Integration
Set track balance in rehearsal and in the hall, rehearse key transitions and cue points.
3
Performance-Ready
Run once with PA in dress rehearsal. Then enjoy the cinematic lift!

F.A.Q.

Typically, the conductor will decide if he/she needs the click. Using the CueConductor app, the conductor can keep the orchestra and pre-recorded tracks together using synchronized audio and video — a measure counter, color-coded streamers, and punches — during rehearsal and performances.

The conductor runs playback from the podium.

The conductor has full control of the balance — with per-stem faders and mutes — using the CueConductor app from the podium.

CueConductor is free to download and runs on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Everything you need to perform a licensed Cinematic Hybrid title — playback, importing your cue package, browsing the catalog — is free. You purchase the music (score, parts, and tracks) per title.

Full score and parts (PDF or physical delivery), audio and video assets for playback in the CueConductor app for iPhone, iPad, or Mac, and a tech pack for each piece.

Only a powerful enough PA system that can balance with the orchestra is needed. No other sound support is necessary as the balance is controlled from the podium by the conductor. If the PA system is moveable (on speaker stands, etc.), it can be placed on stage amidst or behind the orchestra so the orchestra and conductor can hear it. If it is not moveable, sometimes some on-stage monitors can be helpful so the orchestra can hear the pre-recorded tracks. The conductor can use an in-ear monitor (earbud) to hear the click if needed; however, using the CueConductor app, the conductor can see a synchronized scoring video with measure counter, streamers, and punches to keep everything perfectly together.
